• Trumpís Infamous Voter Commission Fraud Panel Disbanded, Cites Non-Compliance From States

With the flick of a pen to an executive order, the commission that was investigating whether or not there was voter fraud during the last election has been disbanded.

President Donald Trump signed the order Wednesday, saying the disbandment was due to a lack of cooperation by numerous status with the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity.

According to Sarah Huckabee Sanders, spokeswoman for the White House, Trump disbanded the commission instead of engaging in legal battles that were costing taxpayers money. She said he asked DHS (Department of Homeland Security) to look over the findings to determine what the next action should be.

In 2016, then-elect president Trump said he lost the popular vote due to voter fraud. While he did win the more important electoral college vote, Democratic rival Hillary Clinton got more than three million votes around the nation. The results were verified by the Federal Election Commission, despite Trumpís incessant stance that he would have won it if the millions of people who voted illegally had been deducted.

    No Evidence

Election officials have repeatedly rejected his allegations, saying a voter fraud at the magnitude would never have occurred.

Many states decline to give the commission their sensitive voter information, worried about the privacy of their citizens. There were also some concerns that complying would mean states felt fraud was rampant.

A Loyola Law School professor carried out a study that found that only 31 cases of impersonation fraud occurred in U.S. elections from 2000 to 2014. A 2012 Pew study revealed that there were millions of voided registrations because a person died or relocated, but no evidence of fraud.

    Whatís The Reaction?

Conservative Republican and Commission Vice Chairman Kris Kobach, who is also secretary of state for Kansas, said the decision to disband the group was a tactical one. He contends Democrats had no desire for the investigation and felt that they wanted to stay blind to the problems.

Critics said the commission was a Republican agenda to make it harder for traditional Democratic voting groups Ė poor, young people and minorities Ė to vote.

California Democrat Secretary of State Alex Padilla said it was no surprise that the commission, which was established on a line of rampant vote fraud, would be a fraud. He said no taxpayer money should have been spent on the presidentís obsession.

American Civil Liberties Union Voting Rights Project Director Dale Ho said the commission was on a wild-good chase, claiming that the president failed to spread fake vote fraud news.
