• Texas Man Has Been Arrested On Suspicion Of Voter Fraud

The Fort Bend County Sheriffís Office arrested a Texas man on suspicion of voter fraud. According to the Department, the man said he was a Trump worker and had been testing the system.

Itís just one of several fraud-related arrests in the last few weeks.

Troy Nehls, sheriff of Fort Bend County, said that it was interesting that the man was claiming to be an employee of Donald Trump.

The man was identified as 62-year-old Phillip Cook of Richmond, Texas. Nehls said there'd been no confirmation into the manís claims. He said Cook tried to vote a second time at a Baptist church.

He said itís the first time heís ever seen the issue. He said you hear about it in other parts of the country, but never seen it for himself. Nehls said the department took Cook under arrest and booked him into jail because Cookís attempt could have compromised the electionís integrity.

Itís not known who Cook had voted for initially.

While voting fraud is rare, there were a number of fraud allegations made on Tuesday, with a handful of arrests being made.

Officials in Florida, Iowa and Virginia had filed charges of voting fraud against several people in the last few weeks. In Florida, a74-year-old woman, working as an absentee ballot opener, had been arrested on suspicion of absentee ballot tampering at a Miami-Dade County Elections Department. A 33-year-old man was also arrested in Florida for turning in false voter registration data while he worked on an effort to legalize medical marijuana.

A 55-year-old woman in Des Moines was also arrested for allegedly voting twice. Two other people are suspected to have voted twice Ėin person and by mail.

A 30-year-old man from Virginia arrested after police suspected him of turning in fabricated voter forms while he worked on a registration project.
