Social networking site Facebook wants users to have faith in the Internet. To do that, the website is adding in seven new antivirus partners and mobile software to its online marketplace.

The newest antivirus partners included in the Antivirus marketplace are AVG, Avast, Kaspersky, Panda, Total Defense, Webroot and Avira. This marketplace allows users the opportunity to download anti-malware software.

Since its initially launching in April, over 30 million Facebook account holders have checked it out. The store originally featured software from Microsoft, Norton, McAfee, Trend Micro and Sophos. Users can use the software anywhere from six months to one year, dependent on what software he/she downloads.

The social networking site also has a URL blacklist system, which allows the website to track the millions of malicious links being posted. According to Facebook, the system will scan the trillions of clicks every day to ensure that they’re safe to visit. The latest additions to the marketplace help with the system and will provide tools, although it’s not known what at this time.

All of this is part of the continuous efforts of the social networking site to make its network safer and more secure. Earlier this year, Facebook executed malware checkpoints and phishing protections.

As more account holders use mobile devices to access the social website, Facebook is trying to keep mobile users’ data safe with the introduction of mobile software.
